COMMISSION TERMS OF SERVICE
The artwork commission will be created according to the discussed specifications with the artist. This purchase is a digital good and will not be shipped to an address. All communications regarding commission work will be exclusively via email. (email@example.com)
2. Right of refusal:
The artist retains the right to decline or cancel a commission at any time for any reason. The artist will not create images of copyrighted, X-rated / NSFW, hateful, inherently political / religious material.
If the artist cancels a commission before it is started, and payment has already been received, then a full refund will be in order. If the client cancels or is unsatisfied with the final design and minor amendments cannot resolve this, the artist will retain the artwork but no refund will be offered. Only commissions that have not been started can be refunded.
The artist retains all rights to the image created, including the right to use it in portfolios or for personal promotion. No-one must claim the received artwork as their own work other than the artist.
Completed commissions cannot be modified, copied, resold or used for other purposes other than those discussed. The commission can only be used by the client, and for non-commercial uses unless explicitly specified in the commission agreement.
Payments in GBP through Paypal Invoices. The commissioned artwork or design can only be started upon payment – the artist has the right to cancel the commission if payment is not received. For larger projects, such as banners or full illustrations, there is the option for payment in two halves: upon starting the commission (initial design stage) and then on finishing the commission.
Pricing is dependent on the size, complexity, style and level of detail of the commissioned piece. All avatars / square icons are £20. Other prices subject to variables.
8. Image sharing:
The client must specify if they do not want the commission to be shared publicly, during making or upon completion. If they image post the image on any site, the artist must be credited.
9. Project specifications:
The client must include desired details, styles, colours and reference images in the commission specification. The client should view the artist’s portfolio or examples of work to inform chosen style / layout. For larger projects, additional feedback will be requested during the initial design process to reach an agreed final design direction.
The Client must read, understand and agree to all the above terms before entering an agreement with the Artist. By sending payment, the Client agrees to the above terms.
